Why Torpedo Switch?

"Shooting the well" is a practice of dropping a nitroglycerin filled torpedo down an oil well to help the flow and production of oil (fracking). West of Bartlesville used to be the home of a nitroglycerin plant named Torpedo Switch. That site is now the home of the Woods family. We feel that the history of this place is tied to the community of Bartlesville, and to our business, and it's one that we don't want forgotten.
